License Management User Guide
Overview
The License Management page allows users to activate Kernaro Assist using one of the following licensing methods:
- Standard License – Local machine-based activation using a license file.
- Enterprise Mode – Organization-managed activation through Kernaro AI Hub using Single Sign-On (SSO).
Standard License
The Standard License is intended for standalone or individually managed installations.

Activation Process
Retrieve Machine ID
- Open the License Management page.
- Select Standard License.
- Copy the displayed Machine ID.
Request License File
Send the Machine ID to your administrator or Support team.
A license file will be generated specifically for that machine.
Upload License File
- Drag and drop the provided .lic file into the upload area.
OR
- Click Browse Files and select the license file.
Activation
After a valid license file is uploaded:
- The license is validated automatically.
- The license is activated locally on the machine.
- No user login is required.
Enterprise Mode
Description
Enterprise Mode is designed for organizations that centrally manage licensing through Kernaro AI Hub.

Activation Process
Connect to Kernaro AI Hub
- Select Enterprise Mode.
- Enter your organization’s Kernaro AI Hub URL.

Validate Connection
Click Validate Connection.
The application verifies:
- Hub URL accessibility
- Server connectivity
- Organization configuration
Authenticate Through SSO
After a successful connection validation:
- A browser-based authentication flow is initiated.
- The configured Identity Provider (IdP) authenticates the user.
- User credentials and identity information are retrieved through SSO.
Sign In
Once authentication is successful:
The Sign in with Kernaro AI Hub button becomes enabled.
Click Sign in with Kernaro AI Hub to continue.
Activation
After sign-in:
- User identity is verified.
- Organization license entitlement is validated.
- The license is assigned automatically.
- Kernaro Assist is activated.
No license file upload is required.
Important Note
EA Security user accounts and roles are separate from Kernaro Assist user management.
While Enterprise Mode uses SSO through Kernaro AI Hub to authenticate users, Kernaro Assist maintains its own user and role management system.
Access permissions within Kernaro Assist are controlled independently and determine each user’s read and write privileges based on their assigned role.
